Our final interview and the closing act of the night was Poor Old Lu. We spoke with Scott Hunter, lead vocalist and lyricist for the Seattle-based band. Members include Hunter, Aaron Sprinkle on guitar, Nick Barber on bass, and Jesse Sprinkle on drums. The band has a great sound and an even better message: life through Jesus Christ.

Dana: Tell us what your objectives have been this year with poor old lu?

Scott: Well, we never really had objectives set out. It's not that we try to accomplish anything formally. To have a next step up with our album, to keep growing musically and with our integrity, lyrically, to play more shows and just to get on the ball.

D: What's your favorite song on "Mindsize"?

S: Probably "All Pretty For The T.V.".

D: What have you guys done this summer?

S: Pretty much the whole month of June we recorded our new album which is called "Sin" and we're really, really pleased with that. I believe that will be coming out October 17th in stores. We also went out to Cornerstone and got to play out there. It was a hard trip but we had a lot of fun being out there. We had a really good turnout, a good responce to our show and ended up meeting a lot of great people.

D: What are some differences between "Mindsize" and the new album, "Sin"? What kinds of differnces will Poor Old Lu fans see?

S: I think the essential differnces people with see is that the new album is more aggressive, not meaning it's more upbeat, but more aggressive, a lot more raw, and less produced. There's a lot more consistency in the songs, lyrically, and just overall. It's a lot more fun of an album to listen to.

D: How about the message of Poor Old Lu? There's alot of talk about crossover artists. How do you guys feel about that?

S: The whole crossover thing we've talked about a lot. We've had a lot of people respond to our music. There is some potential there for us to crossover. Se, our main thing is that we have one message, and that is life through Jesus Christ. There's many different ways that people take that and differnt ways that we give that to people whether they're Christians or not, if they've grown up in the church or don't know anything about it, but our main thing is that
