A Picture of the Last Show

November 23rd brought us Poor Old Lu's farewell show. The show was held at "Old Lincold High School" in the ROCKHAUS located in Seattle. Opening acts included SUNSITES and MEEKIN POP. Poor Old Lu's performance lasted nearly 3 hours before they had to end early because of calls to the cops from neighbors. Lu played such crowd pleasers as: All Pretty For The T.V., Bliss Is, and To Be Awake. But there were a few surprises: Jeremy Enigk showed up and sang with Scott on Digging Deep, MG (a local rapper) came burting onto the stage during "All Pretty For The TV", a technique Lu hadn't used in years. Aaron's wife, Karina, even played guitar during "Uncle Ben." Poor Old Lu also played some real old songs and some rarities such as: The Center Of Your Ways, Drenched Desent and Army Guy, among others.
The band closed with it's now traditional last song: Closing Down. After the song the band all exchanged hugs and Scott promised the band would play again for all of us to hear in Heaven. Over all it was the best Lu show I've been to.
